This week, Coventry University has set a ‘green’ agenda. From 11th till 15th February the University School of Art and Design is running various events to raise awareness of Green issues and the University’s contribution to a healthier, greener life.
The main issues to be brought up are the reducing of energy wastage and the improvement of recycling.

Sunday 10th may be just a regular Sunday for many of us, but not for the Chinese people. It’s Chinese New Year, the Year of Snake and you are all cordially invited to attend this festival. We, Culturae Mundi are celebrating this momentous occasion in association with the Chinese Students and Scholar Association, this Sunday at 6pm at the Hub.

Coventry University Fashion students have been hard at work, but not just for the course. Since October, students from all three years have been working on a project for a local charity, Coventry Cyrenians.
The project in hand was to transform counterfeit labelled clothes into a new brand to be sold at a shop, Refreshed Fashion, which is run by the charity. Normally, counterfeit goods in the UK are destroyed in order to protect the brands. However, in this instance the University managed to get their hands on some.

Students on the Journalism and Media course spent two weeks at the end of December learning what it is like to work in the Broadcast Industry. First year students spent two weeks working as a Radio station, hosting live shows whilst the Second Years tried their hands at running a Television News Room for two weeks.
