Coventry University’s East Asian Film Society (CUEAFS) will be holding their first screening of the academic year 2010/2011 on Wednesday 13 October in ETG34 (Ellen Terry Building) at 2.00pm.
CUEAFS will present an exclusive screening of the old school kung fu spectacular ‘Gallants’ (2010 Hong Kong) staring legends of Hong Kong martial arts cinema Chen Kuan-Tai, Leung Siu-Lung and Teddy Robin Kwan also featuring blistering martial arts from choreographer Yuen Tak.
There will also be a special guest introduction from the head of Media and Communication Dr. Shaun Hides.
Members of the society were privileged to attend the Udine Far East Film Festival in Italy earlier this year. The audience will be shown an interview with the directors of ‘Gallants’ the members carried out at the film festival.
